Since upgrading to Windows 10, Adobe Reader is not working. How can I fix it?I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to the new Windows 10; on my HP Pavilion 500 desktop computer. I too had the same problem with my Adobe Reader X software not working; that I had installed on Windows 8.1 that did work; and I found out that my Adobe Reader X wouldnot work on the new Windows 10; so I kept getting a message on my computer screen every time I started my computer; that the Adobe Reader X wanted my Windows Installer to install my Adobe Reader X software. When I choose ok; the message kept coming up thatan install file for my Adobe Reader X could not be found.

I could see the Adobe Reader X software on my computer hard drive with a lot of its files. But it told me that it was unavailable. I couldn't uninstall my software and I couldn't install my software.I asked both Microsoft, HP, and Adobe.com; how to get rid of that message or uninstall my software. They all suggested to uninstall it and then install it again.

None of them couldn't get it; that I couldn't uninstall it. I tried to install it from Adobe.com;but I always got a pop up box that a software is already installed on my computer and you can't install new software until you uninstall our old software first. Neither Microsoft, HP or Adobe.com could solve this issue. Anyway; yesterday; I received a messagefrom Adobe.com; and they informed me in an e-mail message; that they found a solution to my issue.

They informed me that Microsoft now has a free download for Microsoft Fix It for Windows 10; so I downloaded the Microsoft Fix It for Windows 10. It doesn'tinstall on your desktop anymore. It is downloaded to your download file. After it has been downloaded. You double click the Microsoft Fit it icon in your download file. Microsoft Fix It; then asked you if you want their software to search your hard drive forproblems automatically.

Or you can choose to search for yourself. I choose to search for myself. A drop down list appears and you scan down the list until you come to Adobe Reader X. You choose that; and choose ok. Microsoft Fix It finds the problems and fixesit.

I used Google Chrome and; I then logged onto Adobe.com; and downloadedand installed new software for Adobe Reader X. My new software for Adobe Reader X downloaded and installed just great without any pop up's. And I have my Adobe Reader X software is back working normally again.
